DESCRIPTION
The Wintex1000 takes
homogeneous soil samples to a depth of 12". The depth can vary
infinitely from 4" - 12". The soil sample is taken with a probe,
not like other soil sampling machines with an auger. This means that
the Wintex1000 takes a completely homogenous sample, being a core of
soil that is taken at the adjusted depth. The Wintex1000 uses the
same concept as traditional hand probe, which has been the preferred
method for extracting soil cores for many years. If the sample is
taken with an auger, you will always take more material from the top
layers than the lower layers of soil.
The Wintex1000 is
distinguished by the fact that it can take soil samples in any kind
of soil - even freshly tilled. The specially developed probe takes
about 1 lb. of soil with 12-15 cores at a sampling depth of 6",
which is the preferred quantity of soil to be used at the
laboratories for analysis. The soil sample is automatically filled
into a holding box that the operator can then dump into soil lab
bags. The Wintex1000 has a capacity of about 38
soil samples per hour with 12 probes in each, which means about 450
probes per hour. All functions are carried out from the driver's
seat.
Advanced technology allows the machine to
sense a rock or other destructive material beneath the surface and
reverses the cycle. The Wintex can be purchased with either an
integrated hydraulic system, or with a 5hp Honda engine. The
integrated system runs solely off the ATV, and the Honda engine
solely powers the Wintex without help from the ATV.
